Terms of Use

1. Who can use DogSpot

• You must be at least 13. If you're under 18, check with a parent or guardian first.
• One account per person. Keep your password to yourself: you're responsible for what happens on your account.

2. Your photos and messages

The photos, messages, username and avatar you add stay yours. You give us permission to store them and show them to other players in the ways the app describes: in your games, on the wall if you choose to put a photo there, and on any share link you create. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies we have to keep for safety or by law, such as a reported photo under review.

3. No tolerance for objectionable content or abusive players

DogSpot is for everyone, so we have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Don't post or send:

• nudity or sexual content;
• violence, gore or cruelty to animals;
• hate, harassment, bullying or threats;
• anything that puts a child at risk;
• someone else's personal information, or photos of people who haven't agreed to be in them;
• spam, scams or advertising;
• anything illegal, or that you don't have the right to share.

And play fair: only submit photos you took yourself, of dogs you actually saw, and don't use extra accounts to boost anyone's points.

4. Reporting, blocking and moderation

• You can report any player, photo or message in the app, and block any player.
• We review reports and aim to act on them within 24 hours. Some photos are hidden automatically until we've looked.
• If something breaks these terms, we can remove it and suspend or close the account responsible, without warning.
• We may report content that puts a child at risk, or other illegal content, to the authorities.

5. Stay safe when you're spotting

• Ask the owner before you pat a dog, and leave nervous dogs alone.
• Respect people's privacy and private property.
• Watch where you're going. Never use DogSpot while driving or cycling.

You take part at your own risk.

6. Points

Points, streaks, crowns and rankings are just for fun. They have no money value and can't be exchanged for anything. We may correct scores that come from a mistake or from breaking these terms.

7. The service

We work to keep DogSpot running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features, or stop the service.

8. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile, then Delete Account). That removes your profile, photos and game history as our Privacy Policy describes.

9. Our responsibility

As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for what other players post or do, or for losses we couldn't have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or takes away your rights as a consumer.

10. If you got DogSpot from the App Store

These terms are between you and Bytelogic Ltd, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for DogSpot or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the "last updated" date above, and tell you in the app about any significant change.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of your local consumer law.
